We could not be more proud of this extremely drinkable brew. She was entered into a tough competition, the International brewing Awards. Literally beers from all over, including some industry leaders there too, so she was among great company. Well, Venom reigned, and came in with a very respectful Bronze award. not only does this show that all of our beers are award winning but it is a true reflection of the hard work and dedication that the team at the Brewery carry out on a daily basis. Without Chris Coleman, his son Ashley and Tom Leman our beers would not consistently be winning such accolades. In the mean time, head over to our web site to purchase, if out of stock of our Venom in mini casks please email or call us and we will get them to you directly. Enjoy and see what the judges felt deserved such praise.
We cannot be more proud for this incredible brew to be crowned CAMRA’s beer of the year for the Isle of Wight for the fifth year in a row. It is truly remarkable that not only do our amazing employees at the Brewery work to such high standards that this is awarded, but this is a beer that keeps on giving. Every pint sold we donate 10p to the Earl Mountbatten Hospice. Well done boys.
The Christmas Elves here at the Brewery have been busy packing and wrapping, the courier has collected and the huge pile of boxes have now left the building, for today……… there are still mini casks awaiting homes, as well as bottles of your choice. We are getting so busy here, we are standing in for Santa’s helpers and getting gifts off to all whom ask via our web page, unfortunately some poor people have asked us some questions but not left us their contact details, and we don’t want to seem rude, but we are having difficulty replying! So don’t forget, if you would like some of our amazing brews for this magical time of year, please please please let us know where to send it. Keep buying.
December is looming, its about now we all start thinking ‘what can I get for…’ Well we have taken the worry out of your hands, our Wight Christmas, brewed with love and Christmas Cheer, is now available. We can offer it to you in 500ml bottles, 5 litre mini tins, 20 litre poly pins or if you have a big crowd over, 9 gallon cask, (although this option might be tricky to wrap!) give us a call, we havn’t got our Santa hats on yet, but we are merry and bright!!!!
Bearing in mind we are placed on the beautiful Isle of Wight, homeland of the late great Alfred Tennyson, we could not let this day of Poetry go past without a little verse. Unfortunately our Baird didn’t think it necessary to write a verse about our favorite subject, well not one that I know, so please correct me if I am wrong. However I have found this little one, just showing that beer was in the forefront of peoples minds for a long long while. Honor this gentleman by raising a glass or two in respect of these fine words! Don’t worry if you don’t have anything in, we can send to you!!!!
Our wonderful Mildred is seen here modeling our new ‘beer in a bag’. A reusable, multifunctional bag containing 6 bottles of your choice of our award winning bottle beer collection. A great way to sample one or more of our tipples and have a momento to keep reminding you where you purchased these delights! Go on, you know you want to. Found here on the website, plenty in (for the time being!!!)
Double Whammy this year, both Wight Gold and Wight Knight have come back from the World Beer Awards with Bronze medals, we are so proud as this means that all our bottled beers have now got this prestigious award, no mean feat we can tell you, there was tough competition. Our thanks, as always, goes to our brewing dream team of Chris Coleman, Ashley Coleman and Tom Leman. Without their hard work, dedication and attention to detail the consistency of flavour would not be obtained throughout our range. So now we have to do a print run of medals to put on all of our bottles!!!!!
Where do we start? Well here I suppose. You can find us, and our full selection of amazing beer, on the Parade in Cowes all week. We have been so busy over here this last weekend with the Isle of Wight Festival, our feet didn’t touch the ground, so when we received this review we were over the moon.
“Hi there, thank you for providing Yachtsman in the Kashmir Cafe at the Isle of Wight Festival. I was horrified to find that this was the only place to get real ale at the Festival. Not to worry though, Yachtsman has gone straight into my top 10 beers after I’ve lived on it for a few days. It’s masterpiece of malt and hops with a wonderful bitterness.
It’s very much a great – truly great – best bitter.”
